Massage and Movements
Course Details
Movement plays an important, early role in regard to our perceptions about ourselves and the world we live in. We first experience this sensation in our mothers’ uterus, being moved gently within a safe environment and then later on as an infant while being comforted with soft rocking motions. This is why movement is such an important element in any quality massage. When done in a caringly way, it can help create a trust and confidence within a client, which makes it easier for them to let go and relax.
In this intensive 5-day advanced Esalen Massage course participants will deepen their understanding of this modality of massage by bringing together different elements of movement-orientated massage and bodywork therapies. Styles and aspects of Trager Movement Body Therapy, Feldenkrais and Zero Balancing will be shown and integrated into participants’ already existing Esalen Massage styles. Hand outs with colored photographs of these massage movements will be given to course participants, helping to clarify and reinforce the demonstrations shown.
Comment:
For Esalen Massage practitioners or students in an Esalen Massage ground training (with or without their ground training diploma) who have finished 2 training modules (140 hours), or for others who have a 300 hour massage certification of another "equal" quality education.
