Whiplash, Migranes and Neck Tension
Course Details
Over the last years there has been an exponential increase in the number people who have severe headaches and migraines. For those who suffer from these overwhelming ailments, the daily life that many of us take for granted, comes to an abrupt halt as they withdraw to their beds for hours at a time. When the obvious causes are absent (stress, car accident, etc) most health care professionals have no idea “why” the pain is there or “what” treatment will help. This also includes many therapists in the field of alternative health care. Sadly the client whines up taking pain medications, which at best only masks the pain, creates an addiction and hides the cause. Sadly, life quality suffers, and then despair and hopelessness sets in.
In this seminar participants will learn about the many causes of this devastating pain. Often there is not one source, but several that act in concert together, and which can not be easily detected or unraveled by an untrained practitioner. The causes can range from the practical and obvious to the more subtle, such as, personal life style and the psychological. Possible treatments will be explained and demonstrated to the group and ample time will be given for practice. The elements shown will include gentle movements and stretching, acupressure, deep massage and cranial sacral therapy. Other tools, information and exercises for their clients will also be shared. These will help speed the healing process by involving them with things they can do at home, which also will empower their self-confidence.
