Process Work for Body Workers
Course Details
This course will focus on the bridge that is created between a client and the practitioner during a session. This will primarily center on the method called “Four Body Release” (physical, emotional, mind, and spiritual), which can emerge during a massage session. In order for the client to be able to more fully experience the process of “letting go” they must first feel they are in a safe, non-judgmental space. The practitioner supports this by creating a secure atmosphere. At the same time, freeing
themselves of any projections they may have, or feelings of wanting to “fix” their client.
This course will feature Gestalt therapy techniques, meditation, massage, sensory awareness, discussion, movement and guided imagery in an atmosphere of self-disclosure and integrity. Each participant will have the opportunity to explore their own inner-personal process in a group setting.
While this seminar is mainly for practitioners of massage and bodywork, other professionals (therapists, psychologists, etc.) will find the experience and tools utilized during the weekend helpful in their practices.
